Scammers, Dishonest, and Incompetent – Avoid Electra and Pacifica at All Costs!
If I could give zero stars to both Electra and Pacifica, I absolutely would. These companies are to be avoided at all costs—they are a nightmare to deal with, riddled with incompetence, dishonesty, and a complete disregard for their customers.
On December 13th, I called to request a repair for my Electra washing machine because the rubber seal was damaged. I was told the repair would be covered under warranty and that Pacifica, the company managing the repair process, would send an engineer. The engineer came shortly after and told us that the damage was the appliance’s fault, not ours. He even stayed in my house for over an hour, drinking coffee, eating, and chatting politely, which gave me the impression that he was professional and trustworthy.
However, things went downhill from there. After the engineer’s visit, we were informed that a part needed to be ordered. But Pacifica’s incompetence shone through: they sent the part to the wrong address. It was returned, and we had to wait another 7 to 10 working days for a replacement part.
Our initial appointment with the engineer was scheduled for January 10th, but the engineer canceled because the part hadn’t arrived. Then, on January 16th, we had another appointment, but the engineer called in sick at the last minute. By this point, I had been waiting over a month, and no one seemed to care about fixing the issue.
Frustrated, I called Pacifica’s customer service on January 16th and was told by their staff that a manager would call me back within 24 hours. As expected, this promise was worthless—no one ever called. By January 20th, I was still waiting, so I contacted AO, the retailer where I had originally purchased the washing machine, to intervene on my behalf because Pacifica wasn’t answering my calls or cutting them off altogether.
This is where things became even worse. After finally getting through to Pacifica, I was informed by someone named Erin that the repair would NOT be covered under warranty because the engineer, Robert—the same one who told us it was the appliance’s fault—had filed a report on December 13th claiming we were responsible for the damage! Not only did this completely contradict what he had told us during his visit, but neither Pacifica nor Electra ever bothered to inform us of this.
We spent more than a month waiting, believing the repair was covered under warranty, when in reality, they had no intention of honoring it. Worse still, even though I was eventually willing to pay for the repair just to get it resolved, neither Electra nor Pacifica communicated with us properly, took responsibility, or even showed basic courtesy.
Electra and Pacifica are a complete disgrace. They are dishonest, incompetent, and utterly unprofessional. They waste your time, avoid accountability, and have no regard for their customers. If you’re considering buying an Electra appliance or dealing with Pacifica, don’t. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money, and go elsewhere.
