Upgrading from a very old, but simple, on/off tumble dryer to a condensing heat pump dryer with multiple settings was daunting. However, it has turned out to be very straightforward to get going with the new machine as the default eco setting intelligently optimises everything. We part dry most washing outside at this time of year and it is very satisfying seeing a predicted 3h drying cycle drop down to 20-30mins, 10 of which are just cooling! Power consumption is minimal, capacity is huge.

I only wish I had bought it sooner, years ago! This is a superb tumble dryer. It is extremely quiet, (especially compared to my previous condenser tumble dryer that was supposed to be quiet but was so loud I had to close doors three rooms away and still couldn't think straight with it on). I should not have delayed replacing the old one. This AEG is quiet and so much more efficient, it dries it actually dries the clothes, and without ruining them. Brilliant dryer. AO is a Which? magazine recommended provider of appliances, and they have a score of 85%, they came second barely behind the unworthy first place store, and I think AO should be first. They are far superior to any other well known department store. AO has excellent before and after sales customer service. The best. The AO website said the dryer is black but it is white, and customer service helped with that, and with rearranging delivery times. Great service and product from AO. Good deal too with the membership.

I like the aesthetics and ease of use, it's also a lot quieter than my previous dryer. However be warned that cycles do take longer than a condenser, though this is somewhat to be expected given it's better efficiency so not really a gripe from me.
