This Smeg cooker hood looks great but if you intend to use it, unfortunately, it's not fit for purpose. I've fitted a lot of cooker hoods in our houses over the years and this one is the most expensive and the worst performing cooker hood of all. Our kitchen got a deep clean before fitting this hood and that included the top of all the high level cupboards. Less than 6 months on and our kitchen is covered in grease again. Steam and cooking particles waft up and around the hood on a high fan setting and cover the kitchen. I've installed the hood 600mm above the hob and the air outlet is 500mm from the top of the hood to the outside wall. So, a back to back installation with very good airflow. As far as cleaning goes there are so many nooks and crannies and grease gets everywhere. What a cleaning nightmare! I will now be asking for a full refund on this waste of money.
