I wanted a lightweight iron and this one ticks that box. I like the way the cable winds round and "plugs into a socket". I do not like the hose clip. After a couple of uses the clip has loosened and now does not hold the hose properly. One review mentioned the delay in steam after pressing the button which at the time I didn't think would be an issue. However not only having to wait for the iron to steam, after ironing, the steam continues for 3/5 seconds thereby wasting water.

Okay for what it is used for.

The Russell Hobbs 24440 steam generator iron is so light in the hand , it is a pleasure to use. The steam is really good for removing creases and the ceramic soleplate glides over material . Very pleased with this iron.

Excellent iron. Heats up quickly and very easy to use as well as powerful.
