I went for Zanussi expecting a quality product but felt let down slightly for the following reasons:- 1/. The usual bag of fixings have been removed (by Zanussi) and replaced with a slip of paper that states:- Due to the variety of special wall fixings available and the differing materials used in the construction industry , we no longer supply rawlplugs and mounting screws as may have been stated in the User and Installation Guide, supplied with this product. Not a major problem in itself as any competent DIYer will have suitable fixings but the 'bag of bits' also has the two wall brackets that makes a back wall hanging option more secure on plasterboard and 3 attempts to get these via AO / AEG proved fruitless! 2/. There is no charcoal filter included. Again, not a major problem as you can purchase something suitable for about £10 online. Why not include this though? 3/. Instruction diagrams are confusing (well they were to me but I am getting old!) but it is just common sense / basic DIY to install really. With above said, the unit is now installed and looks / works fine. Nice bright lights and good extraction via an external vent pipe. A fair product let down with a little 'Penny Pinching' by Zanussi. For info, the vent pipe diameter is 10cm via the included adapter. There is conflicting information given on the pipe diameter depending on were you look.

We were delighted with the look of this item but have had to contact Zanussi as there was a plastic bung missing from the box. Apart from that we are really pleased with the design and overall condition of this cooker hood.

Efficient cooker hood, mid-priced range. Lighting levels are so much better than the old model it's replaced, thanks to dual bulb lighting. Lights more evenly.

Good value. Prompt delivery. Well packaged. Looks sleek.

A good standard size extractor. Looks nice when matched with other stainless steel kitchen items. Not particularly noisy on it's slower settings which is good. The extraction power on the slower settings is good as well. On the faster settings it is pretty much the same as any extractor and works well. The light works well so, all in all, well up to expectations. Five stars no problem.

Just the job! Easy to install with clear instructions. No plug attached to the cable. Choice of top vent or rear (for extraction), just swap over the blanking cover with the outflow connector. Unobtrusive noise on lower two settings, slightly loud on three but not excessive. Overall, very pleased - time will tell if it’s reliable!
