OK- so nothing fancy, just a standard hood. It's a tiny bit flimsy until fully fixed to the wall and over-cupboard when it becomes stable enough. Quieter than our old hood (mainly because that was a twin fan version with one knackered motor!) Lighting is fine. Easy to fix as it is so light. Unfortunately for me I had to remove the over-cupboard to remove the old unit and as this unit is slightly less deep than the old one, there is now a gap between the bottom of new hood and the top of the splashback which requires an infill. Note that it comes with no fixings and you will need some relatively large head screws. For the price. I'd recommend.

Easy to fit , loss of extra star due to no charcoal filter supplied

The product is great..however, beware that you have to buy a charcoal filter separately. It also quite difficult to source. I eventually found one online but it took a lot of detective work!

Efficient cooker hood, mid-priced range. Lighting levels are so much better than the old model it's replaced, thanks to dual bulb lighting. Lights more evenly.

A good standard size extractor. Looks nice when matched with other stainless steel kitchen items. Not particularly noisy on it's slower settings which is good. The extraction power on the slower settings is good as well. On the faster settings it is pretty much the same as any extractor and works well. The light works well so, all in all, well up to expectations. Five stars no problem.
