Good quality hob, it was worth paying the extra

Replaced a broken hob with this. It works better than expected. It heats pans fast for a gas hob. The central hob allows three different modes for cooking.

The gas hob we ordered, a Smeg victoria SR975XGH is exactly what we wanted, nice looking, solidly built with easy to use controls and looks perfect in our kitchen. Many thanks.

A vast improvement on my last one. Very stable for pans and stylish. Easy to wipe clean, great value for money.

Lovely hob with conveniently situated rings and loads of power. Looks cool too. So much better than my old 4 burner Bosch hob! Another plus was that it fit perfectly well into the worktop without the need to enlarge the hole. There are a couple of drawbacks hence 4 stars: I find the minimum heat on each hob to be just a little too high for comfortable simmering. I've found it possible to achieve a lower heat by moving the knob past the maximum point, as if you're about to switch the hob off. So you can get a lower simmer heat, but this is a bit fiddly.
