A good, modern, efficient extractor but noisy on the slowest setting. I’m sure there must be quieter ones.

This was bought to replace a, similar looking, howdens hood which was installed with the kitchen and had stopped extracting. The installation was made more difficult because it was a replacement and so the hob and wall finsh were already in place, and the hole to outside was already drilled (but too small). The supplied instructions are just a series of drawings and needed some studying to understand. Securing the control circuit box and installing the chimney proved the most annoying parts of the job but now that it is in it is slimmer and neater than the one it replaced and so far has worked well (and not too noisy despite the db rating). i have awarded 4 stars as the chimney is made of very thin metal and has to be handled very carefully to avoid distortion or warping during removal of protective film and then installation.

Quality is good and came with good installation instructions. Noise levels are low on the normal setting. The extractor timer is a helpful addition. Considering range of operation and quality of the unit it represents good value for money and would recommend it to those who want a mid-ranged priced cooker hood.

Our old hood similar to this model but another make suddenly died. It was easy to browse the AO site to find a model similar shape to the one i had and after researching I settled on this Samsung Model. We got our local installer to fit it. He too was impressed with it and complimented it. He was able to fit it withing 30 minutes without any issues. All required parts were in the package making it a breeze to install. Operation wise, my other half was happy that this was very efficient in getting the smell and steam out of the kitchen efficiently. It is a little noisy but she liked the fact that we can set a timer to automatically switch it off based on speed setting. So now she can leave the kitchen with the hood on and leave the hood on without worrying about remembering to switch it off later. All in all a good investment.

The hood is good. Looks really nice and modern. The lights are really bright and the fan works lovely. The boost is extra fab. Only down fall was the plug was not British. So had to get electrian to change it

Never had a hood before and after installing his Samsung hood I was amazed at how well it works to eliminate all the cooking smells- AO great customer service too.

Just purchased and looks great. However this doesn't come with a carbon filter and I have no idea where to purchase this from? Pls help Samsung

We purchased this for our new kitchen, it looks very nice and clear the steam very quickly, nice touch screen display very easy to use. It comes with a carbon filter which we didn't expected, we were going to fix it as an external Venting hood but we didn't find the right Ducting Kit from shop. We end up using the filter which comes handy. It will be good to come with Ducting Kit as well as that's our preferred way of fixing it. The other downside is that it's much louder than we thought, when we first turn it on we thought a helicopter is in the house! In general it is a good product, and i recommend it to people if they don't mind a bit of noise.
