just purchased a samsung chimney cooker hood it looks good and works really well. The led lights are very good and leave no shadows over cooker. The service received from ao was great kept me informed all the way.

Worth the extra money for the greater extract rate, the touch display sets it apart from the rest

Here are my findings: - GOOD The extraction is excellent Looks great Well built BAD Horrendously noisy, with mechanical as well as fan noise, something is definitely wrong. Rather expensive

Extractor fan works well however on even the lowest setting the product is loud

We wanted to see this before we bought it so went to a large store where it was priced exactly the same as ao. We loved it but delivery costs were ridiculous for a 6 mile journey so we came home and ordered it from ao. It took a while to hang and took two of us to get to grips with the picture instructions but it looks great and works well. It’s powerful so bound to be loud on high speeds but not a problem.

Installation instructions could be more detailed and glass canopy could do with some protection from the screw fittings to prevent damage.

If you install this item correctly, the noise level will be moderate with excellent extraction (but it gets loud once you go up to level 2), the trickiest part of this install is inserting the shutters for the fan without breaking the spigots (or prongs on each end). A negative point is that you have to buy a carbon filter (if you like a fry up), but the included metal filter is washable in a dishwasher. Another point is the glass hood will always need a wipedown at least once a week as it's a dust magnet. If your DIY skill is intermediate to good then you should have no problem installing this and making it look good otherwise get someone else to do it (as the chimney shaft is very thin steel and will warp easily). I would recommend a glass splash-back with this hood (yes I'm an electrical installer)

This product does the job it is designed for very efficiently and is a joy to cook with. Comes with a charcoal box filter which was a bonus.
