I searched everywhere for this kettle and matching toaster. In my opinion it has the best vintage look. I love the feminine shape.

I bought this as a replacement for another De’Longhi kettle which has been a stalwart performer in our kitchen for over 10 years. I love the style and colour of this new De’Longhi kettle. It was simple to set up andi use, boiled quickly and the design of the handle makes it easy to hold and pour. The base unit and on/off switch look lovely but don’t seem as sturdy as my old model- I do hope its as reliable and long lasting as it’s predecessor.

Looks good on the kitchen bench and the water does not get that plastic taste as the interior of the kettle is metal. Maybe could have had a little more plastic on the lid to avoid touching the metal when removing the lid after being boiled and needing to refill quickly.

This kettle looks great in my kitchen, it compliments my traditional colour scheme but would look great in all kitchens. The handle is easy to hold and the on/off switch does not need any pressure at all. However the lid is a little stiff when lifting it off but hopefully this will loosen with use. The kettle is a little bit noisy when boiling but I am getting used to that because it is not really a problem as I can hear when it is finished. Overall I am very pleased with the Icona kettle.

This is by far the most expensive kettle I've ever purchased but I wanted something a little different and that's exactly what I got. It goes perfectly in my kitchen which was installed in 1985 so is proper 'vintage'. It's easy to pour from, relatively quiet when boiling & looks great. I read an earlier review which says that the body of the kettle gets hot when boiled which is of course true but isn't that the case with all kettles? I would recommend not touching a boiled kettle of any make or design !!
