    The strange hosepipe

    4/5
Very good product replacing my ancient same maker tumble dryer. This one has lights and a good choice of which cycle to use. The only thing which perplexed me was a small hosepipe which was inside a plastic bag containing the instructions. Glad to say all is well thus far, as little hosepipe is still in pride of place in his little plastic bag with the instructions

    Recommended budget dryer

Works a treat, with plenty of room in the drum and is a good price too. We were advised when our old machine broke down to look into Bekos as they are easy to repair and get replacements parts for compared to a lot of the more expensive machines from further a field (same goes for washing machines).

    Amazing, competitively priced dryer.

My previous tumble dryer was an Indesit condensor. It was about 20 years old. 2 heats, hot and warm and a 120minute timer on each heat. It finally gave up and the cost of the new heater element made a repair uneconomical. Checked on line and saw this one at a very good price. What a difference. It knows when laundry is dry and switches itself off. Loads of different settings, as well, for all types of fabrics. Very pleased with this machine and would definitely consider other Beko appliances in the future, as and when required. We are very impressed with the dryers technology.

The settings do seem to be almost arbitrary and very often, even if the "cupboard dry" settings are selected clothing still comes out slightly damp. As a consequence I usually find I have to run a further cycle of 30 minutes to ensure the laundry is dry. Also a tube is supplied which can direct the collected water from the condenser to an outside drain, useful as it negates the need to empty the tank. However the instructions of how to fit it are very vague. On the plus side it's very quiet when in use, also easy to load/unload by virtue of the big door. Very simple to empty the water tank, and clean out the lint filter too.

    Great drier

Never had a condenser drier before but love it. Seems to get the clothes drier quicker and better than my old one. Larger drum is handy too!

I really like my new dryer. It can dry most of my washing in one go so saving on electric and time.

Heating unit failed six weeks after delivery

    1/5
Six weeks after delivery the machine stopped heating the air and just blew cold on every setting, even after cleaning everything advised in the instructions and online. Just had an engineer out as issues have to to go via the manufacturer - apparently a broken coil within the heating unit, so not anything that was exposed to use or transit, fortunately replaced on the spot. And that's after lower than average use in a small household. I don't think I'll be buying anything from this brand again.
