As others have said it is heavy, but only when filled with water, 4.5L at the top of the handle does make it a bit heavy, but not too bad. As regards cleaning it works very well and does a really good job of refreshing carpets given the price. It loses one star for being quite noisy and being top heavy.

Really good cleaner for the price, I particularly like that the dirty water container opens up so you can clean it afterwards. My carpets are much cleaner and dried quickly even on the more intense setting.

It is not that light if you are looking for a lightweight cleaner. I am very happy with it as it does the job. I bought it as it had accessories that you can use on stairs etc .
