Good looking and powerful. Option to add appropriate filters would be useful. Delivery excellent.

Awful Touch Controls ruin powerful extractor

    2/5
    1. Exhaust Power 5* 2 Touch Control 1* 3. Instructions 2* Purchased as a replacement it had to fit in a limited space. As indicated by a previous reviewer the top hanging bracket made it difficult to fit seamlessly. The plastic exhaust coupling was awkward and fiddly to fit in a restricted space. Once operating it was a powerful extractor but the touch controls let it down very badly. From day one the lights would switch on, day or night, at random. The fault was reported. After eight weeks and two visits the touch control PCB was supposedly replaced. The unit lights still randomly switch on. The only way to prevent this is to turn the power completely off to the unit. It now has to be switched on for each individual use. No point in paying more for touch controls that don't function properly.

Unresponsive touch buttons and unintuitive interface, tricky to install.

    3/5
The extractor works well but the touch buttons seem a little unresponsive and the operation is a little unintuitive, I had to read the manual a few times to confirm how it was even turned on. As for using the timer function forget it unless you want 15 minutes. I don't think many people will remember how to configure it any other way and expect to be frustrated when the button presses reset everything just when you think you got it done. Installation was tricky as there are no actual measurements provided for the mounting points and the instructions don't really clarify anything. I cannot see any way it's possible to butt the chimney to the ceiling as the mount requires you lift the chimney above the 'hook' and then drop it into place which is not possible as the ceiling will stop you lifting it above the hook obviously. In my installation I has a board above the chimney so I removed the board then replaced it after the chimney was in place. Even then getting the position exactly right took a couple of goes, lots of measuring and checking. Mine was a replacement so I had to install it myself, if you are lucky enough to have a kitchen installer than I wouldn't worry about any difficulty in installing it but check they get it right. Unless you have installed a few of these particular hoods or ones with similar mountings expect it to be very tricky to get it positioned correctly. It will take you much longer than drilling just a few holes.
